| Finding a Mediator! It is important that you find a Mediator with whom you are comfortable. Ask your friends or relatives who have been through the process, for their recommendations, consult the yellow pages, 'Provincial Mediation organizations', select one from the approved roster of Mediators referred to below, or consult with your lawyer. As mediators are not required to be licensed to operate in Ontario, it is up to you to ensure that the Mediator has sufficient training, experience and background to meet your needs. Dont be afraid to ask questions prior to retaining a Mediator. The Simcoe County Dispute Resolution Association (SCADRA) maintains a roster of Mediators who are members of the association and who satisfy the criteria for Superior Court Project work and Small Claims Court Project work. The criteria for selection to these rosters are similar to the roster criteria used in the mandatory mediation process of the Toronto and Ottawa judicial jurisdictions. Finding an Arbitrator! The Simcoe County Dispute Resolution Association (SCADRA) maintains a roster of Arbitrators who are members of the association.
